Jul 7, 2010 - West Des Moine, IA
The sky was overcast when we hit the road this morning. We crossed the Platte River. Lunch was at a Cracker Barrel. We haven't seen one of those in weeks. And, they had sweet tea...not found on the west coast. Lots of fields of corn and soy beans.... We drove through rain in Omaha and as we crossed the Missouri River into Iowa at 2 o'clock. We stopped at the West Des Moines KOA which is located in Adel, IA. The campground is very nice...one of the best KOAs we've stayed in.
