May 12, 2012 - Little Brown Church in the Vale

One of those spur of the moments of RVing. Came across the Little Brown Church known by the song "The Church in the Wildwood". William Pitts was a young man in June of 1957 when he traveled from his Wisconsin home to Iowa to visit his bide-to-be. The stagecoach he was riding in passed through the frontier town of Bradford. Mr. Pitts wrote, "I was in love and the beauty of the village surrounded by trees stuck my fancy. I had a vision of a little church in the midst of the town."
