Aug 6, 2012 - Des Moines, Iowa
We left Red Bay, Alabama Saturday morning around 0630 and drove to Paducah, Kentucky arriving around 1330. The drive was long and the weather was warm and humid. Traffic was moderate and the roads where fairly good. We had never traveled the route which included passing through Nashville, Tennessee a town we both intend to return to and spend a few days but not on this trip. Sunday morning we left around 0630 and drove to Knoxville, Illinois. We had made reservation at a campground about 50 miles south of Knoxville but when we arrived it...

Jun 13, 2012 - New RV Jacks, Herbert Hoover NHS
The jacks on the RV have been slow when retracting for a while and when Rock tried to retract them to bring the RV to the house for loading one didn't want to retract at all. He had to use a floor jack and force it up. He called HWH Monday to find discuss the problem with the manufacturer and when he found out we are only a couple of hours away from their plant in Moscow, IA, he made an appointment for today. We drove here yesterday, spent the night (free camping with 50A for customers), and this morning we got a new set of jacks. Turns out...

Moscow, Iowa is the manufacturing and service facility for HWH Corporation which is the company that manufactures the automatic leveling system used on our motorhome. Ross has never been very satisfied the way the system worked and was...

Sep 17, 2010 - On to Iowa
Leaving State College, we drove across the rest of Pennsylvania, through Pittsburgh, which was somewhat of a challenge, across the narrow panhandle of West Virginia and into Ohio, where we spent the night at a Passport America park in Sugarcreek. We hit a lot of detours and were on some really winding, back, narrow country roads. We left Sugarcreek and headed toward Decatur, IN, to have lunch with our Canadian traveling buddies, the Andersons. Met with them and found a neat place to have lunch and visited on what we'd done since leaving...

Oct 8, 2009 - Blue Ox Tow Bar to Leveling Jacks
Thursday, October 8, 2009. HWH Corporation, Moscow, Iowa Blue Ox Tow Bar to Leveling Jacks Jonathan and I headed out this morning around 10:15 and walked over to the building to take the 10:30 plant tour. It was interesting but loud! Everyone was working on metal so between the sound of metal banging and the radio playing in the background it was a little difficult to hear but seeing the process was interesting. Jonathan even got a piece of the paper they pack the parts up in when they ship them. When we got back to the RV we worked on...
