Welcome to I-O-Way! (That's not the way most people say it here, but we have heard it at least once!) Last time we told you we went to Sunday Mass in Spencer, Iowa. During Mass, our eyes kept drifting to the big folding tables loaded with flats of bedding plants, all in bloom, up in the sanctuary. Turns out this was the Sunday the pastor thanked his parish volunteers. It happened near the end of Mass. The priest simply commented that he wanted to offer his thanks, and then called all the volunteers (by job category, not by name), and...
