We’ve been making our way east across Utah, Nebraska and finally Iowa. This will be the furthest east we will travel, until next year. Nebraska and Iowa are not vacation destinations - for most people. The winters are brutal, too cold, too snowy and the summers are brutal, too hot, too humid and too buggy but we are in the heartland of America and adventures are to be found everywhere. We stopped in Nebraska’s capitol city, Lincoln. It is an attractive town with obvious adoration and dedication for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers...

Since we didn't post any photos before, I thought that I would post these photos from Dorothy and Gerald's house in Iowa and photos of Bonnie and I with Elsie in Skokie. Aren't the shell flowers amazing? Dorothy Nesteby says that she hasn't sold many of them in Iowa, but I bet she could make a lot of money in a cutesy oceanside shop in California.
