We left Geneva state park on the shore of Lake Erie and drove west to Pokegon state park just over the Indiana border. Another pretty drive near Lake Erie with lots of farmland. Stopped in Angola, In. for groceries and an oil change. Bought what they said was local corn at Meijers grocery and found out it actually came from Georgia. Middle of the corn belt and we're getting it from ga!

Jun 2, 2005 - Pokagon State Park, Indiana

On Wednesday, Sam and I continued our westward trek, though not very far. We essentially crossed Ohio and stopped immediately inside Indiana at Pokagon State Park to camp out for a night with my parents. Being incredibly good at planning meals, my mom had thrown together BOTH dinner and breakfast, so we really got to hang out rather than wander to the grocery store and such. The food was SO good: chicken salad, blueberry bread, apple sauce and this jello/sour cream salad. Woo hoo! Pokagon is a pretty nice park that I apparently went to when...
