Oct 21, 2020 - Spending money!

Yesterday, Dolores came to visit and stayed overnight with Toby. Shortly after she got here, Jan, Brenda, and Barb came to camp across from me for two nights! They brought their new dog, Bailey who he is cute, little and long, sandy-colored, and well behaved for a dog less than a year old! It had been raining, so we gathered in my RV and visited, ate dinner, and played games. What fun. Dolores went home this morning and we all went to Nashville to spend the day. It was cloudy and every once in a while it was misty. But that didn't dampen...

May 12, 2018 - Brown County State Park

I wanted to visit some of the state parks in Indiana that my family got to camp in during our annual summer two week vacation to one of the state parks in Indiana. They were going to hold a Geocaching Event at this state park around the time I was going to be in that area. So I reserved a campsite for that time to visit the park and at the same time go to a Geocaching Event "SPRING PICNIC IN INDIANA". It was a nice time of the year that it was not vacation time for the working people and the kids were still in school. The park would have...

Our route today to Brown County Indiana is: I 80 east to I 65 south to I 465 to Hwy 37 to Hwy 46 which brought us to Nashville, In. We arrived just before 5pm. All the stores were closing upon our arrival so we checked into the Comfort Inn. We have been looking for a Cracker Barrel the whole trip and finally found one just outside Lafayette, In. To put excitement into the trip our waitress, bringing our coffee and tea to the...

Nov 12, 2012 - After Football/Before the Twins Road Trip, Nov. & Dec., 2012

Beautiful starry night in Nashville, Indiana! This is the beginning of a Road Trip that we planned for after football and before the birth of our sweet granddaughters, Anna & Allison! We left in freezing rain which stopped although it remained cool. We won 2 free nights in a cabin in Nashville when we went to the Story Indiana Wine Fest so we decided to start here! While we waited for our cabin, Dogwood Point, to be ready, we went to the Holly Shop and bought an RV Christmas ornament that I had seen when I was here in October with Jenny &...

Apr 21, 2011 - Brown County Indiana State Park

We took the scenic route to this park today and realized too late that neither of us could enjoy the beautiful rolling farmland. The curving country two lane road was barely wide enough for one car, much less two. Thank goodness there was little traffic. We didn't get here until after noon. Of course, Russell was famished so we ate lunch immediately and have been computing since. Will go out exploring with our cameras in a little while when there will be less glare for the photos.

Sep 16, 2006 - Brown County State Park, Indiana

September 15, 2006; We went to Brown County, IN for our 2nd trip. We stayed in "Taylor's Ridge C, site 422. The site was nice and level and on a asphalt pad. It is kind of way back but it was private because of the way it was situated. All the sites have electric hook up but no water or sewer. We had to fill up with water before we left. We will stop at the "dump" station on the way out. We will leave on the 17th to go home. Nice 3 dayer. We were able to get it nice and level and unhooking it was easy, now that I know how to do it! We used...
