Oct 12, 2011 - On The Road Again

2011-10-12 On The Road Again Thunder and heavy rain beating on the roof of Eagle woke me at 5:00 this morning. I think it has only rained once since we got back on September 1st. Heading east on I-64 across Illinois we were pounded by heavy rain for several miles until we seemed to have out run the clouds that were dumping on us. We landed at Lincoln State Park just a few miles south of I-64 on SR 162 near Lincoln City, Indiana. This is a great campground with large sites in a mature pine forest. Many of the campers here are from the area...

Jun 29, 2007 - On The Road To Lincoln State Park

WE ONLY HAVE 120 MILES TO DRIVE. THE CORN CROP ALONG THE ROAD IS ONLY A LITTLE OVER A FOOT TALL. THERE WAS RAIN WHILE WE WERE HERE BUT MAYBE NOT ENOUGH. ARRIVED AT LINCOLN EARLY AFTERNOON, AS WE ARE BACK ON CENTRAL TIME. THIS IS ANOTHER GREAT INDIANA STATE PARK. BEAUTIFUL SITE, AND THE HOST OF THE CAMPGROUND BACKED THE CAMPER INTO OUR SITE, AFTER I MENTIONED HOW HARD IT WAS FOR US TO BACK IN. WE CAN WALK TO THE BEACH AND LAKE. I PLAN ON HAVING MY MORNING COFFEE WHILE GAZING AT LAKE LINCOLN. THERE IS ELECTRICITY AND WATER ON MOST CAMPSITES....
