May 24, 2017 - Day 7

Hi I am so sorry that i have not sent any more pictures. It takes me a long time because they upload upside down and it takes 4 rotations to make them correct. Since we get up at 3:30 or 4:00 each day and don't get to the hotel until 8:30 or so, i am too tired to fool with it. I promise I will add them sometime. Day 7 We got up at 3:30 and went to the VFW for biscuits and gravy and eggs. We then had our usual meeting and was on the road at 7:30. They really follow the schedule exactly. May 20, 2014 - Day 7

On day 7 before leaving Wentzville we stopped at the Veteran's Memorial for a wreath laying ceremony. Quite impressive! On to the Jefferson Barracks in St Louis to visit with the patients at the VA Hospital. There was a nice program and I got to talk with a nice lady who had been wheeled out in her hospital bed because she couldn't walk. Also spoke to a few of the patients who were able to get outside and thank them for their service and sacrifice. One of the guys I spoke to was 72 years old and had recently undergone throat surgery. He...

This shop opened up Sunday afternoon just for the RFTW riders who might need some service. The problem on her bike was diagnosed as cam bearings. A major repair. Debbie elected to rent a U-HAUL...

Hi, Today was a busy, busy day. We drove into Louisville & went to the Louisville Slugger Bats factory. We went on the tour to see how they're made. There was also a museum which was great. We then went to the American Printing House. They print books, magazines, newsletters, etc. in braille for the blind. We watched how they print them & learned the history of braille. It was really interesting. After that we went to Thomas Edison's house. It was really small, especially compared to the one in Fl. We also got to visit the Genealogical...

We left home for SC to our daughters and dropped the kids off. We had a great 4 week vacation with the kids. We stayed their for 3 days and continued on to Old Stone Fort State Park in Manchester, TN, which was close to Lynchburg & the Jack Daniel's distillery which we toured. On July 19th we arrived in Nashville, TN & stayed at Two Rivers RV Park which was very nice & close to downtown. We have friends who live just south of there so we got to spend time with them, which was great. We went downtown with them & to a lake where Bill got to...
