Sep 27, 2015 - Potenza Cousins

The Potenza family managed to meet up during my stay in Chicago: my cousins Nancy from Bisbee AZ, Rick from Yorkville, and Linda from Naperville. We were joined by Aunt Harriett from Downers Grove. We lunched at Rick's new home and I got to meet Nancy's 12-year-old daughter Mia for the first time.

May 6, 2013 - Day 8: Up I-65 to Yorkville

So to continue from last night.... This morning Ralph figured out that the problem was the battery. We couldn't move the truck because the slide-out on the camper requires electricity to move. We did try the hand crank, but it broke. So into RalMart we trudged...getting coffee first from Subway. Ralph installed the new battery, and voila! All of the problems were solved! So we jumped back on I-65 to head toward Chicago. The roads were not good, but when you see the number of trucks, you kinda understand why. And the wind farms! Who knew?...

Jun 22, 2007 - Yorkville, Illinois

We have arrived. Yorkville is our planned destination. It is as close as we can get to our friends homes. We are in a campground on the Fox River. There is also a lake and a creek. Darn, we didn't bring our fishing poles. Well, maybe we can rent one. Internet works here, but no satellite tv. Too many trees. Well, you can't have it all. The weather tonight is cool and nice but we are expecting 90's with humidity. We'll see what that's like. We drove and found town. Yorkville is a cute little town. We found a big grocery store, Jewel, and...
