Jun 27, 2010 - Another Day on the Big River

It rained hard last night and so we wondered if we should make the trip we had in mind for the day. We made the right decision as the weather cleared. The first part of our plan was to drive about 50 miles south on the Mississippi River to the Mississippi Palisades State Park. We were glad to leave Dubuque because we had a bug problem. This was only the second one on our trip. The first one was an army of ants in Georgia near a lake that invaded our motorhome. This second episode was a bug called a Shad Fly. I have never heard of them...

Sep 3, 2008 - Heading to Iowa

It was time to leave our workamping jobs after Labor Day and head to Colorado to close on the sale of our house. We took the Cub to Iowa to visit family and friends. We include some photos of our Cub to show how much room our little travel trailer actually has.

Aug 5, 2008 - Savanna, Ilinois

We visited Savanna, IL, where Danny spent time in the mid 60's going to Ammunitions Training School at the Savanna Army Depot. He worked for the Federal Government in Northern California at the time. The Army Base is now deserted as it was closed in 2000, along with others.
