Jun 20, 2016 - Rantoul, Illinois

We continue east. Again, I change our destination. To avoid Peoria, we head south on Route 97. It is cross-country and a good choice. It is our job to check all of the corn fields. We arrive in Havana where we cross the Illinois River. The Illinois River Road is very nice. The water on the rivers is very high. My destination for today was Champaign. On Tuesday we went to the airport in Milwaukee and picked up Karen from her flight. After the "scenic tour" of the airport we headed back to the park to unpack and to do some sightseeing. There were sail boats, fishing boats and cruise ships out in the lake. After the lighthouse we went back to the trailer. We went out to eat at a little Italian restaurant...

Prairie Pines Campground I have been a Cub’s fan since I was a small girl. A dream I’ve always had was to see a game in Wrigley field. Well that dream came true here and boy, will it be a game to remember. I went online and was able to get two tickets pretty close to the field behind home plate. They have a picture of the field there and the seats looked pretty good. We parked in the DeVry Institute’s parking lot and we were bused over to the front gate of Wrigley Field. It was really cool to see the Field come into view. We got inside the...
