September 10 Instead of cooking dinner we went next door to a cowboy sports bar. Was just too hot to go to the rig. Bob had a hamburger and fries while I had grilled cheese and onion rings. Oh well, will have to be better tomorrow. When I went to the rig in the morning I found that the fridge was on propane and not battery which meant that much of what we had needed to be thrown out. I finally got sick of boxes on Sunday and decided to go out an get some fresh air and mow the lawns. So I took our very California environmentally correct little (remember that part) electric lawn mower out and started to mow the lawn. By the time I convinced the kids to pick up the apples off the front lawn - then finished the job myself because apparently my pay rate was insufficient - it took me an hour. ... to mow the front. Aug 7, 2009 - Honeymoon is over

There's one thing about moving. Boxes Only a couple of minor breakages. The movers apparently didn't realize glue and wood dowels in the legs of the dining room table are NOT mean to be separated. I think they dropped the elliptical on the rear tire of my bike because it's no longer round. Wires attached to the rear of a TV are meant to be unscrewed, not ripped out. Thus we no longer have sound. We do however have excellent cable owing to the previous owners being too lazy to actually shut off the service. I hope they wait until after the...

Jul 30, 2009 - Illinois Awaits

After a couple of days hangin with Grandma in LA, it was time for one last plane flight. Haley finally got to sit in her nice seat. It's funny. We'd booked so that, with any luck, Haley and mum finally got to sit in Business Class. Turns out, we get to the airport and two of the seats have been upgraded to First. Mum and Haley happily went to exchange their tickets. Anyway, to/fro and my card beats your card in the roulette wheel that is called seniority, we ended up with only 1 seat in First Class.
