After living New Madrid, we drove another 90 miles north, crossed the Mississippi again, and ended up in the town of Herrin, Illinois. After we got settled, we drove the car a short distance to a Dairy Queen so we could each have an ice cream cone. All three of us had one. Holly loves ice cream. It's 85 degrees and feels like summer. Tomorrow we go to Champaign/Urbana, home of the University of Illinois and Jerry's alma mater.

We left Michigan on June 5th and went down to St Louis, for a few days so I could fly to Texas and attend our oldest grandson's high school graduation. And visit with our son in law that is home from Iraq for a short leave before returning on the 14th. Currently. we are in Herrin Illinois until the 21st. We are here to meet up with around 15 other Newmar Coach owners, to caravan into the Newmar international rally in near by Du Quoin Illinois.
