Fogle's Dream Trip

Aug 7, 2008 - Effingham, IL

How quickly things change!! Tonight we are in Effingham, IL, about half way across the state. ... The temp is about 75 and we are at 800 feet and the humidity is terrible!!!! We have enclosed a few pictures-we took 10 in two days on the road and when Frank has to make a turkey the animal of the day things are really bad!!!! He took a picture of the tower at the St Louis Airport, how bad is that.How quickly things change!! Tonight we are in Effingham, IL, about half way across the state. ... After Pete, his son, and a friend installed the braking system for S&S bus & TOAD, we got back on the road around 11:30AM CDT. We stopped in Effingham, IL to take a break, and then watched the sky darken and ceiling lower big time! Kathy had already looked up a possible campground in the area. ...
