Dixon, Illinois is the boyhood home of President Ronald Reagan. He had one brother, Neil. Ronald's father nicknamed Ronald, "Dutch", because of the way his mother cut his hair as a child; it stuck with him his entire life. Dixon is located on the Illinois River and his home was a typical middle class home on a quiet street. Aug 24, 2007 - On to Illinois

(Ron Writing) It rained most of the night again but instead of thunderstorms, we had a slow gentle rain. After spending 24 days touring Iowa we got Da Honu ready, left the campground, and headed for Illinois. First we drove south on H-61 to east on I-80, then south on H-74 to Bettendorf, IA where the local AAA office is located.
