Today we travelled south east of Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Interstate 94. At times we were driving in a torrential downpour. It was raining so hard the wipers couldn't keep up on high speed. We made a pit stop at the Flying J truck stop at Black Falls to dump the "black tank" and take on fuel, and the rain eased up a bit. Truck stops in the US are incredibly interesting places, offering all kinds of services & merchandise and frequented by truck drivers of all shapes & sizes and with a wide variety of southern accents. Apr 28, 2010 - Decatur, IL for several days of Dog Shows

April 28 we left Marion, Il for a trip to Decatur, IL. We will be here from April 28 to May 2. We did not enter the dog show on Thursday but did enter Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On April 29, it was VERY WINDY!! Shortly after sunrise it started to be very windy. The Weather Channel said the wind was at 31 MPH for most of the day. A couple of the major tents set up for the dog show collapsed in the wind. The first was the tent set up for grooming of the dogs. Apr 13, 2007 - We're heading out!

Our trip begins! It's 6pm - a little later than we had planned - but still pretty good for this motley crew! It poured rain all day today, but fortunately we did most of our van and camper packing last night. Dad gets an A+ for getting totally soaked multiple times today doing last minute checks and loading on the camper and van. We left 9 High Street at 6pm and of course made one last stop at Walmart for an extra quart of oil - just in case!
