Aug 6, 2013 - Illinois

From Indian Trails RPI Colona, IL After we left the campground this morning, we were on a secondary road heading west for 38 miles and I mean it went west. No turns, no hills (a few little bumps) but basically it was straight and flat going between corn and soybeans. We will be heading out in...

Apr 26, 2011 - Travel Day

We left Butch's driveway about 5:35am this morning. It has rained on and off all day-mostly ON! We just arrived at a Coast to Coast RV park near the Illinois-Iowa border. We have seen so much flooding and standing water on this trip. The poor farmers probably won't be able to do their planting until July since most of the fields are underwater. I certainly feel sorry for them and grateful for my own life. We have been treated to so much wonderful food the past few days and we both need to cut back. We are anxious to get the cameras in...
