What difference a day makes. We had a tough drive to Rock Springs the day before and a very windy night, but the weather was fantastic for driving the next day. No wind and sunny all the way from Rock Springs thru Utah into Idaho. We stopped for the night at a small campground in Wendell (the self proclaimed "Hub of Magic Valley") off of I-84. We were able to leave Burns around 9 am. Despite the barren landscape, we find a certain beauty about it. Our biggest excitement of the day was to eat at Cracker Barrel in Boise, Idaho. It holds the honor of being the most westerly restaraunt. We ate here in 2010 as well. Intermountain RV Park is a 15 acre oasis in the midst of the Idaho desert. Their rate was very reasonable. They have a pet weight restriction of 25 pounds. Clearly, Zac exceeds that, but they let us camp. The large, mature trees favored sitting outside until dark. We...

We had a good visit with Max and Joan Bowers. One night they brought their granddaughter, Emma, to meet us. Emma is a Gator fan and wanted to meet us. She came in with a U of F hat on and all smiles. She is the only real Gator fan in her family (the Bowers are originally from Ohio!). Freddy had a Gator magazine with us so we gave it to her and she was proud. She will be going into the 5th grade this year. She had heard Freddy on the answering machine, probably the only southern red neck she had ever heard. We are going to send her some...
