Our second day saw us exploring the Nez Perce National Historic Park and the Clearwater River. The Park is “A park about people, for all people”. Long before Lewis and Clark ventured west, before Christopher Columbus found the” new world”, the Nez Perce, who called themselves Nimiipuu, lived in the prairies and river valleys of what now comprises of north Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington states.
