Apr 28, 2012 - Three More Scenic By-Ways and Historic Trails

We certainly didn’t see a lot around the eastern part of Idaho this past week due to some really ugly weather, complete with snow flurries one morning coupled with very chilly temps. We have come to the conclusion that in future years we won’t begin our trek northward until May! When the sun came out this morning, we were both more than ready to head out and continue exploring the local area. There are three scenic by-ways (Sacajawea History By-Way, Lost Gold Trails Loop and Fort Henry History By-Way) relatively nearby that touched one...

Pick a Highway, which one are we suppose to take? The intersection as we pulled out of Wallyworld had 4 highways to choose from, so we chose Hwy 15 as that was the highway we were on yesterday.....duh? We were driving and driving 'cause that is what we do. Nancy: what highway are we on anyway? Island Park was only going to be 20-25 miles from WalMart. You better pull over and stop until we see where we are. A scramble for the map began. Which map? Oregon/Washington - Charlie:Hell No, we are done with that one-file it away in the bag...
