Today we went on a jet boat tour of Hells Canyon. We went upstream from Pittsburg Landing to the Hells Canyon Dam - about 32 miles up and 32 miles back. Sorry to say, the only wildlife we saw today was a few deer. But, the ride was fun. We went as fast as 45 miles per hour on the river, bouncing along on the nearly flat-bottomed boat. The trip started with an hour-long ride in a van over 17 miles of a dirt mountain road. Lots of viewing from up on the top, but we did not stop to take pics. Where RV Going Next?

It was too hot and still too far away from Moscow to stay near Nampa and not travel for a day. So, I went on the Payette River Scenic Byway (route 55) instead of 95 most of the day today. 55 gets into the hills north of Nampa and meets the Payette River around Horshoe Bend. It follows the river all the way up to Payette Lake in McCall, then turns west to meet 95 in New Meadow.
