Jun 13, 2007 - Across the continental Divide and dropping down to Idaho

Really hated to leave our spot, sure wish we had more time but I guess this is another we'll be back spot. Off we go to cross the continental divide-6390ft. and then drop down into Idaho, only a couple more days and we'll be there. Sometimes I want to get there and other times I wish we could just keep meandering along. I guess we will just keep doing some of each. They really slope the roofs on houses out here but after I thought about it, with all the heavy snow- it's the only safe way. Dave got a picture of the posts along the highway...

Sep 26, 2006 - Idaho Potatoes

We got an early start this morning - for a change! We left Butte at 8am and wanted to get to Bob's brother Don's place near Dubois Idaho by noon. We had some beautiful scenery all the way through Montana and into Idaho. Only time to stop for a couple of shots. We saw several herds of antelope along the way. And of course, lots of cattle and horses. Don met us in Dubois at noon and led us back to his place...located literally in the middle of vast potatoe fields. It is amazing. Don is the chief boiler operator at a huge potato company that...

Jun 24, 2006 - Day 8

We want to take this time to wish a Happy Birthday to Laura, Lauren, and my father. Well we crossed the border from Utah into Idaho today. Our drive from Salt Lake to Ririe (pronounced Ri'ree) took us traveling until 4:30pm. The drive was beautiful especially when we got closer to our destination. Our RV park was way out in the middle of no where. Perhaps the distance found on a map is not always transferable in real life. It looked a lot closer from Idaho Falls then it really was. When we arrived we were thrilled with how cute it was....
