Aug 21, 2007 - The Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway
Another day trip WOW. I cannot believe how much there is to see in this area. Now this trip would be fantastic in the late fall or winter EXCEPT I don't want to be here when the snow flies. But this area is famous for its wintering Elk herds that number in the 100's and also as a migratory and nesting route for Canada geese and other birds. The south Fork of the Payette river offers world-class rafting and kayaking(That's from the tour book) It looks like tooo much whitewater for me but maybe Anita & Terry should check it out.
