Jan 26, 2013 - Upcountry Gem
Hard to believe we have been here a week already. I must admiththough that I have completely lost track of the days, one just seems to run into the next. I was up early again to watch the sun come up and checked my email. We had a sad message this morning. Our friend John Johnson, who is the same age as Dianne, is in hospital with heart problems. Feb 22, 2009 - Whale Days In kehei.
Today we walked downtown at 9:00 am to see a save the whales parade. It was great. Then we headed into the main park downtown to see live entertainment and get some fresh made food. This is all to raise money to save the whales. Maui's best entertainment was there free. Just support the cause. We did! We ate lunch and bought save the whales shirts. Willy K was the full tilt power show. Augie was the mc, he is a really cool radio broadcaster. Then we were treated to about 5 different hula shows. Ya. It was all over at 5:00pm so Rox and me...

After the whale watch we headed over to Cheezburger in Paradise for a couple of Mai Tais and some live music. When we first arrived in Lahaina, I was checking out a fruit tree when a fellow named Steve offered us some...

Feb 20, 2009 - Delay To Whale Watch.
Yes it is true. There was a four car accident that closed the highway about three hours. We had to turn around and headed for Makawao instead and checked out the area. We went down to the beach and checked out some surfers on the big waves at Hookipa Park. We may check out the pub down the street after dinner to do a bit of boogieing with out the board. Brad :)
