Day 1: Flight to Maui & Condo Up at 3:00 AM to get to the airport! We took the shuttle to Sacramento International and boarded our plane about 6. First leg was to Los Angeles where we changed planes for the flight to Maui. It was raining lightly when we arrived and got our rental car. Then we made our way (with GPS fortunately) to Maalaea Bay where our condo is. The condo is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit in the Lauloa condos. Sep 10, 2011 - Swimming with the fishes

This morning was spent out at the beautiful Molokini Crater. Molokini is a partially submerged volcanic crater and is one of the top 10 diving spots in the world. On some days, one can see 150 feet deep because the water is a pristine blue. Coral lines the bottom and there are over 250 species of fish that live there. Chris and I chose to sail with Paragon because they only take a max of 40 people out to the crater at once, which is much less than the 100+ people that go on some boats. Feb 4, 2007 - Maui Ocean Center, and Sunset Cruise

The next morning, R & K got up early to pick up snorkel gear and drove back to the area we had kayaked in and snorkeled along the coast there. We could see a lot more, though we didn’t go out far enough to see the turtles. The conditions were certainly improving a lot. My mom attended the wedding that morning. Afterwards we attempted a couple different places for lunch, all of which were closed.
