This morning was spent out at the beautiful Molokini Crater. Molokini is a partially submerged volcanic crater and is one of the top 10 diving spots in the world. On some days, one can see 150 feet deep because the water is a pristine blue. Coral lines the bottom and there are over 250 species of fish that live there. Chris and I chose to sail with Paragon because they only take a max of 40 people out to the crater at once, which is much less than the 100+ people that go on some boats. Feb 4, 2007 - Maui Ocean Center, and Sunset Cruise
The next morning, R & K got up early to pick up snorkel gear and drove back to the area we had kayaked in and snorkeled along the coast there. We could see a lot more, though we didn’t go out far enough to see the turtles. The conditions were certainly improving a lot. My mom attended the wedding that morning. Afterwards we attempted a couple different places for lunch, all of which were closed.
