Dec 10, 2007 - Kauai (Day 11) No Rain! Drive to east side.

(Ron Writing) Finally we had a nice partly cloudy rain-free day. The sun was actually shining on us most of the day but those big beautiful white clouds were always visible. Our day started with a good workout in the fitness center and a walk around the grounds followed by a light breakfast in our condo. Then about noon we went to the Sunshine Market in the nearby town of Koloa. Elena stocked up on papaya, lettuce, apple banana, and pineapple. Nov 14, 2005 - Owning Kaua'i

The car radio is my only companion as I cruise around the island. My favorite local station plays mainly Hawaiian and reggae music, plus pop classics covered by local musicians. Often the covered songs are either country or easy-listening, or just plain sappy. But transformed by the island rhythms, I enjoy them all.
