Feb 27, 2013 - Snorkeling Day

After breakfast we went to Black Rock Beach to snorkel. The water was refreshing at 11:00 in the morning. Linda wore her snorkel shirt so she ok with the temperature. We saw lots of different fish, but sadly, no turtles. I think I heard whales singing off shore, but it could have been Linda making noises when fish got too close to her!! We went to the Lanai pool for a little while, then moved to lounge chairs on the lawn on the waters edge. Happy hour today was at the hotel bar next next door. We watched whales while drinking a Mai tai....

Jan 25, 2011 - velryby a západ Maui

Feb 14, 2009 - Lahaina& Kaanapali

Today we were supposed to go to a show in Lahaina but dates were wrong so we are going tomorrow on Valentines day. We had to straighten the tickets out first in Lahaina , then just tripped around town and went for lunch. Next we went up to Kaanapali to check out the Westin Hotel where Shawna & Jeff stay. It was a super windy day and red flags were out, jelly fish warning and lots of traffic. We did a little walk up the beach and looked at all the hotels. Quite nice, lots of young families everywhere. On the way back to kihei Rox spotted a...

Rox & Brad In Maui!

May 26, 2008 - Day 2- Leisurely day in Kaanapali

Thanks to a gain of 6 hours, I easily woke up at 5am Maui time. I was feeling the aloha spirit and proceeded to prepare myself a delicious breakfast consisting of fresh local papaya, mango and honey yogurt with almonds. Brett and I sat out on our lanai and enjoyed our breakfast while listening to the calm waves of the early morning low-tide and discussed what we wanted to do that day. To break in our first full day, we decided to head to Kaanapali Beach in front of Whaler's Village for a lazy beach day and lunch at Hula Grill. First,...

Aug 28, 2007 - Relaxed & Planned Excursions

I woke up at 5 AM. I guess that my internal clock was still on Eastern time zone. I went out on the very small balcony and made a couple of calls. Here's the view that we enjoyed from our villa. We were finally both up and headed over to the Sheraton to enjoy our first day for sun and relaxation. We met up with M&M and walk over on the boardwalk to Whaler Village for breakfast. We went back to the hotel to setup a couple of excursions. We decided it would be best to experience the Haleakala sunrise and bike ride tour sooner because the pick...
