01/07/10 Here we go…for our 121-mile trip south to Ochlocknee, Georgia. Our semi-final goal is Carrabelle, FL (or some other campground along the Panhandle) but my back starts hurting after about 2 ½ hours of driving so we sort of travel in 2-hour spurts at a time. My daughter told me that if we’re going to visit her in New York next summer, we’d better start north now, LOL. Didn’t get off ‘til 12:30 today ‘cause Bob couldn’t get the water hose disconnected from the Ti. Finally decided just to cut it off and deal with it at our next...

Mar 5, 2009 - Ochlocknee, GA - Sugar Mill Campground

We traveled north up US 19 from Crystal River to Ochlocknee, which is about 25-30 miles north of the Florida border. We enjoyed the trip up US 19. It was a good look at old-time Florida and very little traffic. It was a quiet two days here. We walked around the campground and met some "Sunny Peaches" (a club of Sunnybrook owners from Georgia) who were very happy to show some Northerners all about boiled peanuts. We asked what they were cooking in this big outside boiler and the rest is history...
