Ken has had a difficult time getting me to leave my lakeside lounge chair and finally managed to get me to budge today. We headed out to visit the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. This National Park protects the site of a Civil War battle that occured here between June 22 and June 27 of 1864. It is known as the battle for Atlanta. In June 1864 the Federal army had the Confederate army on the run.
