We left Charleston, SC this morning and headed to my brother Dan's home in Kennesaw, Ga. Our adventure has finally begun. This is the third year in a row we have tried to make a trip out west and each year something came up to make us change our plans. We decided that this year would be different. Though we have many things that need to be done we ARE headed out on our trip. Richard and Dan spent the afternoon visiting gun shops. I stayed at the coach and read it was a nice afternoon. Nov 19, 2007 - Arriving in Kennesaw for Thanksgiving

We got on the road early. We went through Memphis about 9:30 AM so we avoided all the rush hour traffic. The GPS didn't like the route we had chosen but finally gave in to it after a few miles. We traveled Route 78 toward Birmingham, AL. It took us across a small section of Mississippi and into Alabama. It was about that time that the GPS decided the road we were traveling on didn't exist. It kept trying to find a road and get us to turn onto it. Which usually was impossible since there was no road between the road we were on and the one it...

Oct 19, 2007 - late night

ahhh gotta get up early tomorrow but I am all giddy about this whole thing.... When did I sleep properly last ??? And the trip isnt for another 3 -4 months but there is so much too do and so little time. Just bought another harness for luna-li (AKA loca luna, or the rocking lunatic) guess if she was happy getting out of the house for the first time in a year and half. I just cannot wait until I got the setup to start having her outside/inside again. Well, her training for the trip has begun and she who always would crawl around on the floor...
