Nov 21, 2009 - River Forks , Gainesville, GA
We arrived in Flowery Branch, GA at our friends Rich and Jan's. They have an RV hookup behind their home and that was were we planned on staying, but everything is tooooooo wet here. We decided to stay at a local RV park so we didn't destroy their backyard trying to get into site. We are only here for a few days. Jeff and T had a great gathering at their place so we could catch as many of our friends as possible.

May 1, 2009 - Spinning our wheels :-(
Two steps backward for every step forward - or so it seems - Monday, April 28 through Friday, May 1 You readers who actually have a life will want to skip this page, as it merely proves the truth of the old Zen saying “The traveler who hesitates only raises dust on the road.” Milling around that is - which is what we did a lot of this week. We arrived in Atlanta with three goals in mind, getting me a CT scan at Northside Hospital, having our mail forwarded to us from California, and seeing our friends Sky and Diana Rector who live in...

Nov 3, 2007 - Hanging Out in North GA
We have been hanging out in Gainesville GA at River Forks Campground since October 17th. We went to Jeff and T's daughters wedding on the 20th of October and we went to a holloween party on the 27th. It is great to see our friends and have good times. We also have gotten in a few rounds of golf. We haven't got the renters out of the house yet so there is nothing new on that front.

Jun 3, 2007 - Background
Several years ago, our friends Larry and Mary (with whom we share a passion for riding Harley's) retired, sold their home and almost all their belongings, and moved onto their sailboat. Wow! How cool was that! Shortly after they left, we decided we wanted to do the same thing only live in an RV and travel the country. The dream began. Over the next several years, we spent a lot of time investigating the full-time RV lifestyle and liked what we found. The more we talked about it the more we wanted to do it, so the plans began. In the...

Mar 9, 2006 - Gainesville, GA
Thursday, March 9 At 7:30 a.m. we left Meridian for Alabama and entered at 7:45; had breakfast in Tuscaloosa at 9:00. Near Birmingham we took the 495 beltway to avoid the downtown. The temperature was 72 degrees. This area between Birmingham and Ammiston must be foothills of the Appalachians. It was tough going between the prevailing wind and the washboard road. Once over the state line into Georgia the zone changes ahead to Eastern Time. The Big Sky of brilliant blue is replaced by clouds and tall pines line the highway and limit one's...
