Ft. Pulaski, named after a Polish nobleman who fought bravely for the US in the Revolutionary war, is where we spent the morning. It was built after the war of 1812 to fend off the attack of foreign invaders, but the only action it saw was from the Union army during the early part of the civil war. We have had a lot of fun touring forts along the east coast, and visiting the "older" cultures that make up our countries history.
