Apr 30, 2011 - Cochran Motor Speedway
When we left Tifton, GA last week we traveled to Cochran, GA, a short distance of 90 miles. We pulled in to Hillside Bluegrass RV Park. The park is a very quiet country setting. The past week has been uneventful for us. We haven't done much except a couple of chores -- grocery shopping and laundry. The town of Cochran doesn't offer much and it hasn't been one of our favorite places in our travels. The only reason we came to Cochran, GA was to attend a race at Cochran Motor Speedway. The stops we are making to visit race tracks is to give us...

Nov 23, 2009 - Bluegrass Time For All
After running around the state of Georgia for a week or so , it was time for some bluegrass music. We went to a very nice campground near Cochran, Georgia for a few days of fun . We got to meet the "CANJO" music man that made music from tin cans and got to talk with people from all over the states. We love to have a camp fire and to be able to meet people that love to talk and have fun.

Ken read an online review of a campground on a golf course here in Georgia, a hidden gem. The campsite rates were 20% of what we'd paid in Florida and the...

Apr 5, 2007 - A Little Corner of Heaven
From Hillside Bluegrass RV Park, Cochran, Georgia, very near the center of the state. At the moment that I am writing this journal entry, I am sitting in what almost seems a bit of heaven. You might know that we were in NW Atlanta yesterday for Jeep repairs (more on that later). By the time that CarMax had completed the repairs, it was near 5:00 PM, & I definitely knew that at this stage of life, I did not care to drive the bus towing the Jeep all the way across Atlanta during rush hour. We found the nearest Uncle Wally's about 4 miles...
