Oct 2, 2011 - Getting Ready

Today we went to church then out to breakfast. We spent the remainder of the day washing, packing and tracking the stabilizer jacks which are due at Camping World on Monday. We are praying they are there early enough that we can make it to Chattanooga.

Fall Trip 2011

Dec 24, 2010 - Thanksgiving and Christmas at home

Came home November 15 for the holidays. It's been great spending time with friends and family after being gone so long. Also got our annual physicals, Sadie got updated shots and got her hair cut, the bus and car were serviced and we had to move out of our house since we leased it out and the new family wanted to move in mid December. It's been busy, but we've gotten a lot done. Had Thanksgiving at Gina's house and we were very grateful that we were all together this year. Retirement Adventure 2010

Nov 8, 2010 - Home Again, Home Again

Beginning Mileage 99809 Ending Mileage 100081 McKinney Campground Lake Allatoona Acworth, GA 678-721-6700 $13/nt w/Access Pass It is the final leg of our journey. We are up early and on the road again before 9:00am. We stop in Tennessee for breakfast and fuel. Just before the Georgia Welcome Center, the truck turns over the 100,000 mile mark. We stop in Cartersville to have the truck and RV washed at a truck wash. We arrive at McKinney Campground on Lake Allatoona around 3:00pm where we will spend a couple of days getting the RV emptied...

Summer/Fall Trip 2010

Apr 28, 2008 - Adventures in Georgia

We spent the last week in Georgia. Just into Georgia, we stayed at the Valdosta/Lake Park KOA where we happened upon a group of Winnebago Motor Homes from Florida. The DU-BOL WINNIES had just finished their monthly outing and about half of them were staying another night. They were getting ready to barbeque pork chops and invited us to join them. We had a great time and enjoyed visiting with them. We will see some of them again in Forest City, Iowa, in July at the Winnebago Grand National Rally.
