Aug 4, 2011 - 100 days on the Road (Last Day in the ATL)
The boys and I spent a good day together. We met Ava and her friend for lunch at Lenox Square. Then we headed to Andy to open the boys UBS accounts. Andy spent time showing them things about the market and how his office works. After that we left and went and opened checking accounts for them at Suntrust Bank. We came back to the RV and got Missy and went to Fogo De Chao for our last supper in Atlanta. It has been a great visit and I accomplished a lot. The boys had a great time seeing their cousins. We head to Tampa tomorrow.

Aug 3, 2011 - Workday no Play
Brock came to work with me because some guys were suppose to a have Lamborghini they wanted to borrow $90,000 against. The guys showed up but said the car was somewhere else. Kind of hard to loan on a car that you can't see. We sent them packing and Brock was disgusted at the waste of time. I explained it is part of the business. I worked at the office and then got a hair cut at Carter Barnes. Just so so and very expensive. The most expensive haircut I have ever gotten. $85 with a little grey rinse out. Never again. The boys went to Andy's...

Aug 2, 2011 - Pawn License Renewal Day
Hugh picked me up at 8am sharp and we headed to the Fulton County Annex Building to renew Chapes-JPL's pawn license. Even with this being the 8th year of our renewal they still gave us a hard time and had new hoops to jump threw. After completing that I went to work and focused on the new commercials and web sites. Dinner at the Golden Buddha with the family was yummy and then home to hit the hay.

From there we headed back to Stone Mountain and had dinner at Piccadilly Cafeteria. t was just like the old days and the food was great.

Jun 4, 2010 - Braselton, GA - Chateau Elan
Big day today, but we are really tired. We told ourselves that we were going to the American Waffle in Buford for breakfast on this trip. It is a small mom/pop restaurant with decent breakfast food/prices. Their best deal is a special for $6.99 includes eggs, bacon or sausage, grits, waffle or biscuit/gravy, and coffee. When we are almost finished, Aron called they are going to meet us for breakfast. By the time they arrive and we chat over breakfast, we will be after checkout time so I call the hotel asking for a 1:30 checkout. After...

Jun 2, 2010 - Buford, GA to Braselton, GA
Staying next door to the Mall of Georgia, gives you plenty of food and shopping choices! Although somewhat accidental yet purposely choosing this spot because of its' proximity to Kelly & Shelby and not too far from the winery where they will be getting married. After arriving late Tuesday evening, we were exhausted from driving long hours the last 3 days to get here. It's one thing to travel without needing to arrive by a certain date, it's another to have something like a wedding making your timely arrival necessary or miss it. The...

Mar 27, 2010 - Chattanooga to Atlanta
What a fun couple of days we enjoyed in Chattanooga visiting with our friends Chris, Carl, and five of their 11 children! Blayde had fun, too, since he got to spend the two days playing with CJ, his little orange Pomeranian friend. Blayde and CJ romp and play nearly to the point of exhaustion whenever they are together. Lunch in downtown Chattanooga, a yummy home-grilled dinner on Chris and Carl’s patio, and lots of great conversation made our visit most enjoyable. Once we left Chattanooga we headed towards Atlanta, GA. We drove on all back...

Nov 26, 2007 - And the work begins
We arrived back in Georgia today after going to Colorado for Thanksgiving. We left the coach at Rich & Jan's and drove in the Pilot. We have the coach parked in the driveway of our rental house now and will be living in it here. We finally have gotten the renters out and can being working on the place. It is a total mess and will take several weeks. We look forward to getting this completed so we can move south to warmer weather.
