Nov 12, 2012 - Packing up to come home.
The last few days have been spent packing up & cleaning the RV ready to come home. We take the RV to be winterised Tuesday afternoon then onto storage, we are spending our last night in a hotel it makes life easier this way. Trying to get it winterised, stored & get to the airport on time on the same day is just too stressful in case something goes wrong. Monday we decided to go back to Amelia Island left eary this morning drove part way there & the heavens opened so we turned back home. Later on in the morning it dried up so off we go...

Nov 10, 2012 - Mass Invasion of ANTS- 4th lot
Well we have now been invaded by ANTS AGAIN these ones are bigger again than all the others we have had before, even looked them up they are Pharoah Ants got bait traps down but we end up killing at least 20-30 a day they crawl on the ceilings they are everywhere in the RV Wal picks them up with his hands!!! Thursday went to Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve where we walked some trails but did not see much but at least it was a walk, then onto Betz Tiger Preserve where we walked a couple more miles went out on another trail to come across the...

Nov 8, 2012 - Amelia Island
Sunday we drove to Fort Clinch State Park which is on Amelia Island we paid our entrance fee of $6.00 then stopped off at the first view point fine them we stopped again to go on a few short walks it was then we both thought this looks familar & thought that we might have been here before still weren,t sure, we go to so many places some of them start to look alike a bit. It was as we drove into the Fort area we knew we had been before, must be getting old!!!! So in stead of going into the Fort & paying another fee we decided to walk along...

Nov 3, 2012 - Yulee
Saturday- Drove 166 miles to Yulee we are planning on staying here for 6-7 days this is the nearest campground we could find to Amelia Island which is 10 miles away, there is lots to see on the island so will take us several days to see lots of it. It has warmed up again hitting the late 70's today & warmer this evening as well no fire on yet tonight!!!

We have completed another great adventure. This one gave us an appreciation for all of the brave men and women who have helped to shape this country and assure that we have the freedoms that we sometimes take for granted. Through the museums, the re-enactments, the monuments, and the preserved landmarks we were able to experience different periods that were important in our history. Each of the places that we visited gave us reason to be proud of this nation. You cannot visit places like Washington D.C. at night with the lit up monuments of...

We are back home. We have traveled 12,000 RV miles. We have visited two countries and 27 different states. We were gone for 92 nights and stayed in 54 campgrounds. We used about 1700 gallons of gas which averaged $5.32 per gallon in Canada and $3.61 in the USA. We met a lot of interesting people and made many new friends along the way. We were lucky enough to get to visit with some "old" friends and visit with some family members. We saw awesome and inspiring scenery and visited many historical sites and landmarks.
