Jan 25, 2015 - Time to Work

Thanks to Ed and Claudia for a nice time in Jensen Beach and Stuart. It was good to see them again and catch up. After another night of interrupted sleep (2 trains), we headed south to Sunrise, FL where we will be staying for the next 5 days while I work in Pompano Beach. We're staying at Markham Park and Target Range. It's part of the Broward Country parks system and is pretty nice. When we arrived this afternoon it was crowded. Not sure what was going on other than people out for the weekend taking advantage of the nice weather. As you...

Jul 22, 2009 - Getting ready for a month on the road

Rob gets the house secure. Judy and I do last-minute work at the office late into the night to make sure deadlines are met before I leave the office for a month. So little time to write. Tour of the South

Dec 19, 2008 - Hollywood, FL

On Monday, we drove from Key West, FL back to Hollywood, FL. Along the way, we made a sidetrip into The Everglades. We saw quite a few alligators and some very cool birds! On Tuesday, we went for a run on the trail that circles the park … warm and humid, but it is great to have the trail right outside our door. On Wednesday, we drove to Miami for the day. It was fun to see South Beach (the art-deco wouldn’t normally be our thing, but it works there), and Coral Gables was beautiful (although the UM campus was unimpressive). At the end of the...

Aug 16, 2008 - Homeward Bound...Hope We Can Remember the Way!

We left Weston on July 17th and we returned today, a month later. The trip has flown by, but when we think about how long ago we experienced Topsail Hill (our first stop), and all of the other experiences and adventures we have enjoyed since then, we realize how long we have been gone. We have packed the vacation with memories we will treasure forever. We have met new friends whom we hope will become old friends. We have made new memories with our families, adding another layer of shared experiences to our interwoven lives. We have taken...

Rob&Sue

Dec 3, 2007 - Latin America (SE Florida)

We left the relative tranquility of Key West on Friday after a final few hours of beach relaxation in the morning. Now began four whirlwind days of lunches and dinners with old high school and college chums who all reside within the Miami to West Palm Beach areas. So many of our friends have remained in Florida and, although several of them seem to travel to Colorado to ski in the winter, many times our own frantic schedules have not permitted us time to take off and see them while they are in town (something we have both vowed to change...
