Nov 7, 2015 - Farmers Market Gets Bigger and Bigger

It is becoming a small city! As the weeks pass, more and more vendors rent spaces at the Farmers market. It is virtually like visiting Tijauana, Mexico! We have to park farther away because now even part of the parking area is being used by all the new vendors that arrived along with the snowbirds. Many of the stalls are repeats of other stalls... a lot of cheap shoes, hair accessories, old CDs for sale, and tons of T-shirts. But there are some that have very interesting odds-n-ends, beautiful plants, all sorts of antiques, books, and even...

Jun 20, 2015 - Bushnell Was A Short, Beautiful Drive

Yesterday we drove about 25 miles to our home for the next 5 1/2 months in Bushnell, Florida. It is so nice having such a short drive and being able to set up our entire camp well before we planned on our evening BBQing! When we started out in March, 2011 we drove to Indiana to pick up Serenity, and we towed her back to California. That trip was 'brutal' and in sixteen days we covered approx. 4400 miles. Then we left California in July of that same year and journeyed to South Dakota to register our vehicles and set up our Mailing Address....

Feb 3, 2015 - Red Oaks RV Park in Bushnell

After a short 90+ mile drive we arrived in Bushnell at the Red Oaks RV Park. We have been under the radar for several days taking care of some personal business, but we had a few updates that we were able to post during this time period. We are back "up and running" now, and everything seems to aim at the 'brighter' side of things! :-) Red Oaks is a very large RV Park and I believe there are close to 900 sites overall. There are mobile homes, park models, and RV spots that seem to go on forever. We will get more information on this park in...

Oct 13, 2013 - CR 683 D

We took our first morning walk in our new neighborhood and headed down County Road 683D. We are a bit remote, but we are still only about 7 miles from a Super Wal-Mart. There are so many County Roads in this part of Florida, and many contain farms and ranches. Off we went for our 1 hour walk, and we covered about 2 1/2 miles. Here are some pictures for you! Dec 19, 2012 - The Mouse Lovers Chapter

A Escapee friend mentioned to us the The Mouse Lovers (a chapter of Escapee RV Club) was having their winter meeting/breakfast today at the Boardwalk in Disney. So we decided to join them. It was wonderful, met lots of nice folks. Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with them. Got lots of great ideas. Most of these folks "work" for Disney as part time employees and we would love to do that one day.

Dec 17, 2012 - Farmer's Market

This has to be the largest Farmers Market we have ever seen. They sell everything from stuff, to birds, to homegrown veggies. We love the tomatoes, string beans, and cucumbers the best. It could take you several hours to stroll through this Farmers Market.

Feb 1, 2011 - Webster Flea Market

Monday is flea market day in the small community of Webster. The folks at the RV park have said it’s a good one, but I envisioned a few tables piled high with junk and a few local farmers with a few fresh vegetables. Boy was I wrong! It was HUGE. Diana invited me to ride over with her to look for fresh strawberries. I think everybody from all the surrounding counties was there. The parking lot was packed and we had to park across the street in another lot which was also nearly full. We pressed our bodies in amongst the masses and began a...

Nov 25, 2010 - Florida Grande Motorcoach Resort, Webster, Floride

Feb 14, 2010 - Happy Valentines Day / Daytona 500

First of all...Happy Valentines Day. During the past week, Little Debbie and I spent most of it at the Florida Grande RV Resort in Webster, Florida. Webster if you remember from our last post is home of one of the largest flea markets in Florida. We arrived at the resort early Sunday afternoon. The resort is a fairly new, resident owned RV resort. Currently 225 sites of a planned 499 site resort are complete. The resort is located in a very rural quiet area. We attended a Super Bowl party at the newly completed 20,000 square foot clubhouse...

Feb 11, 2010 - Webster - update

Still here in Webster trying to get back to normal and getting things organized. We have several boxes of photographs that are taking up valuable space in the storage area so I have been busy scanning them and putting into digital files on the computer – it’s a slow process the originals will be distributed to the interested children. The weather is still temperamental sometimes wet sometimes sunny and then cool and it looks like another 3 days cool wet weather – looks like I will get a lot of digital scanning completed. We took the TV from...

Feb 2, 2010 - Made back it to Webster

Well we made it back OK We delayed leaving one day because of a big snow storm in the Nashville area through which we had to travel - they had 10" of snow. By the time, we got there it was still on the grass but the roads were all clear. Clear sailing all the way down, when we stopped overnight at the Days Inn in Murfreesboro, Tennessee Anne got out of the car left the engine running to keep the cats warm - low and behold one of the cats stepped on the door lock and locked all the doors :>O What a to do, this was a rental with only 1 set...
