On Tuesday, we drove over to Venice Beach to have lunch at Sharky’s (a restaurant that’s known for its grouper sandwiches) and to walk on the Venice Pier. Fantastic views! The fishing was good for both man and beast… the fishermen were pulling in mullet left and right, and the pelicans were diving for baitfish. Note to Fishermen: If your cast should be caught or picked up by a seabird, especially a pelican, do not cut your line as your bird will surely die with the hook and line embedded. Reel the bird in slowly and try to remove the hook...
