Sep 12, 2011 - Home Again, Home Again

Our wonderful summer trip is over! We arrived home around 2:30 p.m. today and unloaded the freezer of halibut and salmon. Then we moved the deep freezer back into the garage. We unloaded most of the essentials from the coach and will finish in the next few days. The house was in good shape except that we had a blackberry wine bottle in the wine rack that exploded. What a mess! Don't know why it popped the cork, but the house was cool the entire time we were gone. A few statistics: We travelled 11,306 miles, bought 1358 gallons of diesel...

Nov 13, 2009 - Summerfield, FL (near Ocala and Villages)

Nothing exciting going on here. Just kinda hanging out at a Passport America (1/2 price) park called "Southern Oaks RV Resort". Will leave Monday AM. Yesterday we went to "The Villages" which is just a few miles south of here. Was looking to hook up with my old boss, Jeff who lives there but got no response from voicemail or email so guess he's probably not around right now. Jan 2, 2009 - Summerfield, FL

On Friday, we drove from Naples, FL to Summerfield, FL … just outside The Villages, FL (known to us for their corny commercials during weekend golf broadcasts). Along the way, we drove through Siesta Key to see their white sand, blue water beaches. On Saturday, we parked the rv at The Villages and rode our bikes around the community.
