Jun 28, 2007 - 2nd Trip - Sarasota

My 2nd adventure takes me a short distance (94 miles) to Sarasota. A great park www.sunnfunfl.com has spoiled me! Every amenity one could think of including: the usual grand, tropical pool, both large and small, two hot tubs, one hot, the other extra hot!!!in case you feel like melting away an extra pound or two. Michele, Tim and the boys joined me for Friday/Saturday. Had a great time...used the new Weber. Finally figured out the "poop tube"! The learning curve is still high, however, I feel it's coming together. My confidence is building....

I wanted to remember this day as being the day I decided for certain that I was prepared to take this leap of faith. The decision making process has been days of weighing pros and cons and finally deciding to feel the fear and do it anyway.Embrace the adventure! I feel a bit like i'm standing at the top of a water slide that I suspect will be thrilling and sometimes downright frightening. Today we went to have a final look of the RV to finally finally make up our minds that it is going to be our home for the next 6 months...at least. At 31...

Dec 6, 2006 - Carabelle to Sarasota, FL

11/24 Carabelle to Tarpon Springs For the 5 days, we will be weather watching not only before we leave port, but during the day as we travel. Water here is VERY shallow, even 30 miles off shore, we encounter depths as shallow as 10' with norm being 20'. When we come into shore, we not only ahve to watch closely for crab pots, we have to watch for sunken wrecks, shoals and ride the tides in. For example the listed depth at Crystal River is 4.5' and we need 4'. If the wind is blowing out of the east or north, then that can take easily another...
