We made several interesting stops on the way to Louie's house--the place we stopped two years ago on our first tour of the country. Thomasville Georgia is where we left Dutch while we drove up to Marietta. Thomasville has the largest Live Oak and it is graceful indeed. Also there was a fascinating historical residence we visited. The Lapham-Patterson House was designed by a man who had been burned by the Great Chicago Fire. Nov 29, 2006 - Lou's Little Pondersa
Half of November was enjoyably spent in northeastern Florida at Lou's Little Ponderosa. Lou is an old friend of Keith's and his home is an interesting and lively place. Because Lou loves music, he sponsors weekly jam sessions of bluegrass and other types of music. Another of his hobbies is wine-making. What an enjoyable combination; to sit and listen and sip wine under his open-air "barn" that includes a full kitchen and lots of twinkle lights. The rock band that practices there came with it's own RVer couple, so Lou's private campground...
