Apr 21, 2012 - Palm Coast....I think

After four days of non-stop get ready, we left at our scheduled time of ten this morning... OK, maybe it was closer to 12:45, but we are on our way. North on I-95 with weather threatening...we were hoping we could make it to Daytona before it rained, but we did even better. Didn't make our target of the Florida Welcome Center north of Jax, but made 200 miles. Pat, I mean Ivory had to post grades so we decided to stop at a rest center for the night. We've already met the MH owners on either side of us who are also planning to spend the...

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We sure did. Everyone must have been really good as we all got what we wanted. Steve got his bracket for his steering wheel for his Video Game and P9OX an extreme exercise program. Sarah got her Kindle Fire, Tom got some ARRL clothes and a new pair of sunglasses, and Debbie got a Kindle Fire also, and a wonderful calendar that Steve and Sarah had personally made for us with photos of us and things dear to our hearts. I was so excited. To top off the day we had a wonderful dinner of Turkey (Steak for...

Apr 17, 2011 - Palm Coast, Fl

Okay, now we were up before the rooster crows! We had a wake up call for 5 am, so that we could shower and grab our last meal onboard before we walked the plank at 6:20 am. Wtf? We both woke up at 3 am, and couldn’t get back to sleep. The sun was not even up yet in Fort Lauderdale when we caught our taxi to the hotel where our bikes were. Anyhow, we finally loaded up our bikes and drove off down the road, heading North. We stopped for coffee around 8 am, and it felt like we had been on the road for hours. We rode on Hwy 1, passing through...

Mar 21, 2011 - Tallahassee FL to Palm Coast FL

Hit the fitness machines early but it slowed down from there. Finally got going at the crack of 10 and cruised the suburbs on our way out of town. There were some really expensive and perfectly manicured houses and gardens here. we supect due to the nice weather and semi humid conditions of the summer. Off the side of the road was a wildlife sanctuary and a lighthouse on the coast. Drove into the park and paid the $5 honourary park fee and cruised down to the coast. The wildlife was a bit thin on the ground although the waterbirds were...

12/20 – 12/22 The next stop was Palm Coast, Florida; 135 miles south on I-95. Our campground was Norman (Joan’s cousin) and Sue’s driveway. Norman took us to an interesting “music store” in Crescent City. Along with a large quantity of new guitars they sold all manner of junk. We thank Norm and Sue for their hospitality.

Nov 11, 2008 - Finally Florida

The anchorage at Cane Patch Creek proved to be the right tonic for a couple of weary travelers. Overnight adventures tend to take a lot of the energy out of the human players and we were between the covers right after sunset. The engineering plant never missed a beat and at 40 Nm off the coast in the middle of the night, it is reassuring indeed, that the single main engine keeps you trucking along. On Sunday we were up and underway by 0630. The weather was so nice that happening upon St Catherine's Inlet, we opted for another spell on the...

Mar 22, 2008 - FL, Palm Coast Black Indigo Snake Wow!!

I have been over at the beach house since December 28th living in the trailer to see what I need and don't need for the trip. I also took a 9-week course on Photoshop CS3 at Flagler Palm Coast High School. It was the hardest course that I had ever taken in my life, but also, the most fun. The school has a computer lab with the new Apple 24 Inch Monitors. It was like sitting at the Drive In Theater. Try to spend at least two hours a day in Photoshop. Opened the blinds yesterday so that I could open the window and let some air in while I was...
