Nov 1, 2012 - Home again, home again......boo???

Well, after 4488 miles on the motor home, approximately 3500 miles on the car, and 723 gallons of gas for both.......we are home! We aren't quite sure how we feel about that but we are back in FL at least until next summer and who knows what we will do then. It still hasn't sunk into Penny that she is retired. Linda on the other hand, knows what it feels like as she already retired once. She was one of several song leaders invited to lead 1400+ girls and adults in song and ceremony at the weekend's final campfire:-) Linda headed off for Clearwater, FL. to...

Except for the RotoRooter man blocking our way out of the RV park, our departure was pretty much without incident. The park we're staying at now is just outside Palm Bay and about 6 miles south of Melbourne. It's pretty nice, and we're thinking we might winter here. We were thinking of staying at a park on the beach, but it was very expensive and Wifi was $4 a day. The main...

Dec 18, 2006 - moved to Sebastian Inlet (Long Point County Park)

This is it! We will spend 8 nights here, up through Christmas. We will move further north (maybe) on Dec. 26th. This is a wonderful County campground in Brevard County, Florida. We have the kayaks blown up, the bikes out of the truck and we are ready to have some fun for a week, right here! The fishing (right from the bank of our campsite) is supposedly great. Our next door neighbor (from Alaska!) is all set up and doing well catching fish! The weather is lovely and warm, not too humid either. The weatherman is predicting rain towards the...
