Hello friends, today we woke up in the sunshine. Steve feels that the sun is so much better in Florida, I agree. Yesterday we drove 3 hours from Alabama to Milton Florida. No problem with the drive, it went really well. Got to Gulf Pines KOA park in Milton, nice settings, great hosts Mike and Belinda. Also great cable TV, I need to see Call the Midwife on Sunday. But today is do the laundry and go to the beach. Will blog more later. xxx

Mar 20, 2011 - Milton, FL

After leaving the Mississippi Gulf Coast today we drove through Alabama, going by Mobile rather than stopping as originally planned, to Milton, Florida. Milton is just east of Pensacola. Our first choice RV Park was full due to college break and we ended up at a small park, Avalon Landing RV Park. We thought we might stay two nights but there was no cable TV and the we were unable to hook up to the wi-fi. I don't know how much of the issue is our computer and how much is the RV Parks. We have no issue at some and others, even though it says...

Dec 13, 2010 - December in Florida

What does Christ-mas mean to you? Is it about the gifts you must buy and the gifts that come to you from others? Is it about the Christ Child? Is it about all the stuff you have to stuff into the month of December? What does it really mean for you to celebrate this month of Holy-Days? When we had children at home it was a lot different than it is now, duh, of course it is. Now, it is about Jesus' birthday and how God sent His Only Child, from a virgin- she was a young girl who came from the line of David who came from the line of Adam....

Dec 12, 2010 - Can't stop...

We have enjoyed the sunsets and the sunrises here in Florida. Sunny Florida. It's gotten quite cold over the past few weeks here. It's gotten down to the 20's at night and about 40's during the day sometimes. We have worked in it and burr! It's hard to warm up after being out in that wind! But those from the Northern states are experiencing that everyday right now. Our favorite beach is in Navarre, about 20 miles from here. Navarre has everything needed to shop or have a food frenzy day. It is a quaint little town. The pressure systems...

Dec 3, 2010 - Everyday, it's Him I live for

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sjYWrpNoCs The story behind this video is amazing. Overcome. What have you overcome to be where you are? What in your life has been an incredible journey of overcoming and faith? In our lives, we have overcome many things and will always face uncertainty. Right now, our lives are changing, everyones lives are going to change with what is happening at Capital Hill. Our lives will change but most likely not for the better unless we step up and say NO WAY! Financially, for many it will interrupt your plans,...

Nov 22, 2010 - Remember I said Trust in the Lord...?

Well, when I trust in the Lord, I will walk, I will not faint, I will grow weary but I won't fail, I will seek the Lord at all times and not panick because the answer isn't there. (my version) Ya know worry has a way of magnifying the problem, it doesn't grow or go away with worry. The only way the problem goes away is if we face it. So, we faced it. It looked impossible, immovable, enormous, but the truth is, we had to face it! We weren't sure what our summer job would be, we had seriously considered staying here. We even talked to our...

Nov 17, 2010 - Chalk and Cheese

This morning the sun was shining and the birds were singing and we were extremely happy to leave Arrowhead Campground. What a difference a day makes! Tonight's campground was so very different - 100' pull-through sites, all level, asphalt roads, nature walk, great places for dog exercise and normal campers! We did nothing special here other than recover and our laundry. It was heavenly!

Nov 7, 2010 - Trust in the Lord...

I will not faint or grow weary, I will trust that God has already prepared a place for us to work in this next season. Many temptations have come along, oh they look so good. They look like ministry, they look like what the call God has on our life but ... How? How can we know for sure? Here's what we know for sure...Okay but maybe not a sure thing... 1. We know that we did not sell everything, including a small, great on gas, car to work full time and settle down. 2. We know that we did not give up everything to follow God to stop and...

Oct 25, 2010 - Life is too short...

I am young by full-time RVers standards, 48 yo. I don't mind telling my age, really. I have done many things, regretted some of them, learned from them and moved on. I don't remember past hurts too much, because they hurt and God loves me so much that He wipes away those hurts and brings healing to them and I learn to forgive and get to forgive and move on. Those mistakes, were mis takes and I can take a new take (step) and know that sometimes or most times they are good steps. Life is too short! An RV blogger and her husband were killed a...
