Mar 25, 2019 - Sun N Fun

Everyone had already arrived, Andy saved us a space and we were tight between him and Linda. Worked just about every day, took off Friday and went to Yeungling brewery in Tampa. Traffic very heavy on I-4. Went to Tractor Supply for salve for Birti's eye and then Southern Collection - neat store. Got garden flags and went back later for more. Good weather, not too much rain at Sun N Fun. Saturday night show had lightning but did not affect us. Got a Traeger grill for the Eagle. We did see Margie and she came to the Eagle on Saturday. Joel...

Apr 3, 2018 - The End.

FYI, in case you haven't noticed I have stopped sending you notices. We leave Lakeland, FL on Mon. Apr. 16th if the weather is good for pulling the trailer. I thought that I might get more replies or something than the 2-3 that I did so I have canceled the blog. Thanks for reading if you did. I really did try not to make it about just me & if you think that it was then I am truly sorry. This will probably be the last one that I ever do. Have a great day. Regards Gerry Ciurysek

Apr 1, 2018 - Sun N Fun

We decided to get in on Sunday to get our level spot with 50 amp hookup. It's just not the same without Andy. We were the only ones next to John and Linda when we came in at 2. Later in the afternoon Dave and Shirley pulled in. Randy does not have his coach this year - is renting a trailer. They came to deliver it late and it's a nice new 5th wheel with a defective refrigerator. It's the Samsung residential but they can't get parts to fix it, so he has a small counter size one instead. The next day Ken and Flo and David and Victoria came...

Mar 22, 2018 - Day 77-83

Hello everyone & how was your week since last I wrote to you? Day 77-A cold 48*F but today is sunny. It was a laid back day with Janet going to Line Dancing & I attempted to change the chain (1st time ever) on the Giant. I got it done even without the Master Link Pliers. BUT!! Yes there was a BUT, I watched the You Tube on how to do it & the one thing that they said to do RIGHT I did it WRONG. I had to disengage the master link but I couldn't so I needed to go & buy a pair of pliers; now I can change any chain on all of the other bikes. I...

Mar 12, 2018 - Day 70-76

Hello everyone & how was your week since last I wrote to you? Day 70-Sunny but still coolish; 59*F. Riding today with Jude Stewart. Janet went line dancing & just rode around the park. Jude & I did 45-47miles & it was a good strong ride (not that strong for me climbing the hills back up to Lakeland Highlands Drive into the wind). It was a good day as Janet & I finally found a place to get our haircuts done. Day 71-64*F but cloudy with rain during the early morning hours. The sun came out & it was a warmish day but coolish because of the...

Feb 26, 2018 - Day 56-62

Hello everyone & how was your week since last I wrote to you? Day 56-Sunny & 73*F. We're just getting ready to leave for Tarpon Springs. Biggest problem today is the pain I have in one of my Wisdom teeth; yes I still have all 4 of them but I don't think for long it could be abscessed. Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US. Downtown Tarpon has long been a focal point and is currently undergoing beautification. In the 1880s, John...

Feb 19, 2018 - Day 49-55

Hello everyone & how was your week since last I wrote to you? Day 49- Cloudy & 78*F but it will clear up on this Shrove Tuesday. Janet was up early like 5:30AM but I didn't get up till 6:30AM. Now if either one of us had bothered to look outside & down the road we would have had some excitement to start the day off. It seems that about 6 sites down from us & across the road there were 3 Fire Trucks & an emergency vehicle. It seems that a Dutch Aire Class A bus was having a problem as the flames leapt out of the roof of their unit. Their...

Feb 12, 2018 - Day 42-48

Day 42-A beautiful sunny 60*F & ended up in the high 80's & still sunny. My cycling tan is starting to look good again. Janet went for a 1 1/2hour line dancing session then she did 36K on her bike too. I had a good ride today 40miles/65K. First 5 miles was climbing then a downhill 28.5mph/46kph downhill rush. Then it was all pushing into the wind. I'm looking at hitting at least 50miles/80.5K tomorrow. IF MY ASS WILL HOLD UP. LOL I'm on my 3rd seat now. Afterwards is was Jan going up to do a puzzle while I cleaned up the bike & rewrapped...

Feb 2, 2018 - Lakeland

We took a side trip to Immokalee this morning and spent an hour at the casino there, first casino in two weeks. We then headed north, through Arcadia. It was a beautiful day, 82 and sunny. We got to see just about all kinds of scenery, marsh, fruit trees, farm land and cattle. Not a interstate so more relaxing drive. We started early looking for a room and found a Rode Side Inn at Lakeland. Nice area and nice room. We went to another one that was in the CAA book but Dale turned a little early. We got in an area that looks pretty run down...

Jan 29, 2018 - Day 28-34

Me again, so first & foremost what I'd like to know is; is anyone is really reading these, if you're enjoying them or if you're kinda of sick of them. Please leave me a message where it says Leave A Message with your comments about them; I'd really like to know; seriously. So Day 28 was raining but it was 68*F when we got up but then it cleared up nicely. Janet is enjoying her line dancing & usually can't wait to go; I myself went riding as usual & it was very strong winds today. I am not writing much about my riding because I've been told...
