Tuesday we drove down to Fort Lauderdale and took the Jungle Queen IV cruise. The cruise stays on the river, much of it on the Inland Waterway. It's a 3 hour cruise that winds it way down the rivers by a lot of the multi-millionair's mansions and yachts. We left Mims Thursday and drove to Lake Worth. We passed orange groves on the way down. We are seeing a lot more palm trees down here. The weather hasn't been the best. It rained all day Saturday and we had showers last night as well. We are at the John Prince County Park (thank you for the recommendation, Linda & Jerry). It's beautiful. Drove south on I-95 to Lake Worth where we stayed at John Prince County Park, a park operated by Palm Beach County. Yes, it is in a highly populated city area but, it is an absolute oasis located right next to the county air park. It is convenient to I-95 as well. 01Sep12 We will be at the John Prince Park Campground from September 1 until January 2013. We were very surprised how difficult it was to find a decent campground close to Coral Springs. Thank you Geri for finally locating this one for us! The storm Isaac prevented us from getting there earlier due to all the flooding it created. Started the day at the Ford service shop to get the big honkin' dually. Had a sit down meeting with the service director. Some hope of getting something off the $2600 repair. Time will tell. They are trying to get the Arizona shop to pay for part and they will match. Then took my bike to get the flat fixed then on to the beach for a couple of hours. There are worse places where we could be stuck without the truck. John Prince Park is a beauty. Waited all day yesterday to get the call the truck was fixed and it finally came about 4:30. We took the big honkin' dually to the Ford shop for service. They had to keep it overnight and the cost of the repair is supposed to be about $2700. They are fixing something that was fixed by a Ford dealer in Arizona so I will be having a warranty discussion with them today. Anyway we took our bikes with us and rode back from the dealership. We made a couple of side trips and rode about 7 miles. We hiked around the campground for another mile and Shirley rode her bike another 4 miles. Good workout day.
