Apr 1, 2018 - Living In Fantasy Land

The long-awaited Disney World trip for Kaia’s 10th birthday had finally arrived! Kaia’s other grandparents, Kris and Sue, convoyed with us from Malabar to Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Campground. It had been so many years since we were at Disney World and my, how it has grown! The campground is made up of 650 plus campsites plus there are over 400 cabins….do the math, if every site was filled with at least 3 people that is over 3,000 people staying at Fort Wilderness and that doesn’t include the Lodge. East Bound and Down

Sep 13, 2016 - Disney World Part 2

Forgot to mention the Aire is parked Disney’s Fort Wilderness CG. We have a large cement back-in site with 50 AMP FHU. There is a “state park” like charcoal BBQ and a square picnic table. I can’t wait to get out of the South. Sunday Sep 11—we spent the day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Saw a show of Beauty and the Beast, rode some rides. The big attraction now is...

East Coast Bound!

Sep 10, 2016 - Disney World Part 1

Tuesday Sept 6—We left Hilton Head Island and drove to Palm Coast, FL and had dinner with friends George and Lorie. We have known George and Lorie for 30 years or more, and even though we live on opposite coasts, we have stayed in touch over the years. They live in a beautiful gated community in Palm Coast and are building a house that should be finished in 60 days or so. We dined at their country club and enjoyed the evening. We stayed the night in a Florida rest stop—not my most favorite place to stay but, unlike most states, Florida has...

Living all the way across the US doesn't seem to matter for us. Love them dearly. Back to Disney tomorrow.

So we had a great day at Hollywood Studios, visiting such things as the "American Idol" adventure. Disney interviews and has a live production of three contestants three showing every day. The audience votes and choose a winner at each of the showings. At the end of the day they have a final finale where the three winners of the day compete. The audience then will...
