Apr 2, 2014 - Wed. Day:169

Apr. 2, 2014 - Day 169 This Wed. morning is a sad day in Mudville; The Tigers Crew & The Tiger Den (yes Janet, I, & the trailer) are leaving paradise for the Great White North. Our plans were to leave by 8 AM but I knew it would be at least 9-9:30 before I put all the hoses away & try out the new Tank cleaning solutions. Off we go & the drive was within 30 minutes of the GPS's estimate & I only drove with one hand better than when we drove down; less wind. Most of the time we just talked about coming back & what we were going to do when we...

Mar 2, 2014 - Sun. Day:138

Mar. 2, 2014 - Day 138 It's Sun. & nothing doing today but we are starting to take down the site getting ready to leave for Lakeland, FL.. I don't know if everyone thinks that I will spend every day at Joker Marchant Stadium watching the Tigers play, but I won't as that costs money & we are on a budget. So we will be seeing the sights & probably only within a 2 hourish driving span. There is allot to see within a 1-2 hour driving radius. There are other towns that have Major League Ball Teams; there are a total of 15 different American &...

Feb 28, 2014 - Fri. Day:136

Feb. 28, 2014 - Day 136 Up & at'em this Friday; getting ready for a day trip. Breakfast of sunnyside up eggs, turkey sausage, & english muffins then off to our day trip St. Augustine. " The vicinity of St. Augustine was first explored in 1513 by Spanish explorer and governor of Puerto Rico, Juan Ponce de León, who claimed the region for the Spanish crown. Prior to the founding of St. Augustine in 1565, several earlier attempts at European colonization in what is now Florida were made by both Spain and France, but all failed. St. Augustine...

Feb 27, 2014 - Feb. 26, Wed. Day:134

Feb. 26, 2014 - Day 134 It's Wed. & raining; we didn't hear the thunder roll in early in the morning, just the bang bang of the large raindrops on the roof top. So what do you do while it's raining when RVing; well if you have kids & a small RV then you are shit out of luck as I remember when we had our first pop up camper. It rained for 2 days & Shannon was maybe 3 & we couldn't do anything as the park was swamped. Now we don't have Shannon so Janet did laundry, while I did up the journal & changed the new dining area lamp. We had heat as...

Feb. 24, 2014 - Day 132 It's Mon., but in the past couple weeks the following people have passed away, not just people but celebrities & great ones at that, Shirley Temple, Sid Caesar, Ralph Waite, & today as we were driving we heard that Harold Ramis passed away at the age of 69. As I said the other day another celebrity passed away & I was a better person for knowing him, he was my boss & I can also say a friend, Lee Grenier. So we left the River's Edge RV Campground outside of Holt, FL; the weather was damp, muggy, & warm; the roads were...
